Bret is a graduate of West Virginia University, earning a degree in Business Administration. He received his Certified Financial Planner training from the College for Financial Planning.

Prior to joining CFS in 1997, as an associate planner, he held multiple management positions with a Fortune 500 Company.

Bret's philosophy toward comprehensive financial planning was influenced by the client-planner relationship that he and his family experienced with their advisor. He uses that background today to understand the concerns and needs of his clients.

Bret is involved with his church, volunteering with the youth group and participating in numerous mission trips. He is also involved with community service through Rotary and other community organizations.  He has been married over 32 years to his wife, Kay, and they have two beautiful daughters, Abigail and Morgan.
